Probably not, but it’s like when you go in a road trip and get truck stop food. In reality it’s never anything special, but when you’re starving on the road for something to eat, it’s the best stuff you’ve ever had. It’s available everywhere and is great if you don’t have anything else. Not one I would recommend to my worst enemy. This stuff is pure crap and the only reason it's still around is because it's prevalent anywhere... I assume this is the classic and original Captain Black offering. I bought this blend, along with just about every other available when I started smoking pipes in earnest about 12 years ago. At the time, it was this or Prince Albert or Borkum Riff. It packed easily, and the stems were minimal. The flavor is surprisingly deep and complex. I’ve tried Sir Walter Raleigh and Half & Half and they’re pretty one-note compared to CB regular. I can just barely make out the Virginia here but it’s there in the background and I think I’d notice if it weren’t there. Still have like 10oz left to go, it will take me a couple of years to finish that tobacco. I give three star to Captain black white because it is really an awesome tobacco to star smoking pipe. It is also extremely easy to find in most drugstore or convenience store, and when you just finished the last tin can of your favorite, it is the next best thing. After which I noticed tobacco popping up here and there. I recommend that everyone give it a shot at least once. It’s been the best-selling pipe tobacco by far for fifty years and counting. You only get that sort of staying power by being pretty decent and by being a good bargain.
