Captain Black Bulk: WHITE

Captain Black Bulk: WHITE

Smoke this tobacco and you are almost guaranteed a comment of, "Oh, that smells good," from non smokers. I've read the reviews on here which are mostly negative. I like the taste, the room note, how it burns, and in short, I think it is a very good tobacco. It has no bite and I like the kind of sweet taste of it. I like a good cigar when I'm in the mood, I like a good English, and I like a good aromatic, and this is a good aromatic.
I had experience with Chacom #2 and #3, which are divine, as well as my favorite aro to date, Savinelli Cavendish. Captain Black is one of the most popular "drug store" tobbacos out there, and quite frankly, I'm surprised that I was the first to write a review on it. Since McLelland is gone, along with my beloved Frog Morton, I figured everything else is just tobacco, so in protest, I figured I would just go cheap and easy. He detected my presence in his chambers the moment he arrived on the ship. How, still remains a mystery to me. At the end of the plank I turned to the crew and bid farewell, blowing a kiss to the Spanish beauty. Then to the captain, I turned and said "Seems to be that I was the captain of HER ship!!" Then I jumped, plunging into the depths of the sea. Now, if you're a Captain Black fan and only smoke that blend, I can totally understand. It can be satisfying for aromatic smokers and did make me like this blend again. captain black tobacco But I have to tip my hat to the old standard where it all began for me. This is what I gauge a vanilla blend by, and there is no doubt that whatever they put in here for the room note is magic. Ve thought of putting it in a potpourri burner just because people seem to just eat it up. If they took it off of the shelves I would be mortified. I rarely visit my old friend the captain anymore, however the memories are great, and I must say, if my wife had here way- it would be all I ever smoked. I had to have some other four full bowls to get it to a pleasant level. If you're gonna try it out, please do it in a cheap corncob. I like to think this is as classic as Coke or McDonalds and should probably be treated as such. It isn’t fine wine or a good steak, but it’s not meant to be. It’s an OTC that comes in a pouch for cryin out loud. I don’t understand all the snobbery towards this blend. Like Coca Cola and the Big Mac, this is a very high profile product owned and endorsed by a major corporation. As such, it is subject to the barrage of scrutiny and contentetion that such fame inevitably brings. These opinions are based on many factors of taste, class, exposure and sometimes, even the quality of the product itself. It's easy to pack, light and keep lit and my wife thinks it smells good. I taste smooth vanilla and chocolate and I can even pick up on the roasted marshmallow that I've read of in previous reviews.
