I was introduced to this tobacco by a Turkish Shop worker in Mosul Iraq. I always say that this was the tobacco that made me fall in love with pipe smoking. It is so easy to disparage the so called "Drug Store" blends and refer to them as garbage. But we all have to remember (I try!) that these reviews are only opinions and not "Truths!" In my opinion, Captain Black White is a comfortable, easy smoke. Some might say boring but I find it satisfying when... I don't want to eat steak every night no matter how much I like it.
Next in line, seems to be the Virginia tobacco, which is only sometimes noticeable with some crisp grassy undertones. The little burley present fades into obscurity behind the casing and tongue-bite. I will preface this review with the consideration that I do like aromatic pipe tobacco—especially maple and chocolate/Vanilla topped blends. It's got a strange taste to it and it bites me. It is readily available so maybe that's why it's so popular. It's mellow, creamy, produces a good amount of smoke and DOES NOT BITE even if pushed and smoked a little wet.
While it's still fun to have Blood Red Moon and Plum Pudding, this is a good all day tobacco. This will always be my go to tobacco. Tobacco Pipes has stellar customer service and products to choose from. You must at least 21 years of age to purchase from this website.
See if they bring any memories, do I recommend them or not now that I got more experience. There is no flavor worth commenting on. There is no Nicotine worth commenting on. DO NOT BUY THE POUCHES. The tobacco inside is dry and flavorless. ONLY BUY THE CANISTERS. You probably won't regret it. The room-note is, in my humble opinion, unmatched in any tobacco out there.
Some people say it’s the exactly same with less PG in it. Captain Black White is a very heavy aromatic, but it's also a crowd pleaser. The mild taste of vanilla is present the entire time, it really doesn't develope much beyond this, but it tastes so good that I don't mind it.
I can smoke it all day and not only does it have a light taste the room note is fantastic and my wife even enjoys it! But this smells like nice burning tobacco and I like it.
