This carved briar pipe is a creation of the French briar pipe carver, Roger Vincent. Based in Saint-Claude, he has been a pipe carver for over 60 years. Passionate creator, he was trained from the age of 16 with his father. Pioneer and last holder of this unique know-how, he realizes sculpted briar pipes with the effigy of famous people and politicians.
This creation by Roger Vincent is a tribute to a great artist whose songs, which have become true monuments of the French-speaking heritage, have crossed generations. Jacques Brel, himself a briar pipe enthusiast, is perfectly recognizable here. The face of the Great Jacques, has been meticulously and entirely hand carved.
